bling bit and in stainless better against winter corrosion.
Also machining a spindle is easier as you've just got 2 diameters to turn and cut a thread on the end.
To be honest the SV is simple as all the bolts are pretty much off the shelf for a stainless steel replacement and even the caliper pins are just 6mm bar which you cut to size and drill a hole for the R clip.
