I had a Z750 before I wrote it off.... (bloody roundabouts and cold tyres EHH)
Engine was really nice.. handling was fine, so long as the roads weren't bumpy. The suspension is built to a budget (as was the whole bike), but then again it's cheap so can't complain. If you get a tail tidy, bellypan and a stubby can it also looks very tasty.
It was quite vibey though... 8k RPM was BZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ and it became quite annoying. Even on the standard can it's quite loud so bear that in mind.
I used mine every day over the winter (did about 2800 miles in the 3 months I owned it), commuting pretty much every day, rain, salted roads, whatever. Not snow though, haha.
I'd wash it every 3 days or so. (I only work 3/4 days a week, so I'd wash it on Wednesday and then a proper one every Saturday) It was always coated in that Scottoiler FS-10 stuff.
And it's cheap to run. I was running for way over an indicated 200 miles on a tank. Most of the riding was fast-ish A-road stuff.. giving it the beans in the corners haha
Smallest I had was 113 miles till reserve and that was alot of 2nd gear foolery on the way to work.. across the common. Average range was about 175 miles! Not bad
It was also remarkably cheap to insure. I'm only 17 and it cost me £535 a year TFT.
Would I buy ANOTHER? No, not without getting some decent suspension fitted.
