Default 5w indicator bulbs = too fast !! help

firts of all sorry guys I'm sure this has been asked 1 million times. But as some will be aware I'm putting my mini twin race bike back on the road. (nearly there actually)

Last night I fitted my indicators. I expected them to flash fast as they are only 5w bulbs. and they did.
On other bikes I've fitted a wide band flasher relay and that's sorted the prob. But on the sv isn't it in the black plastic box and filled with resin so you can't get at it?
I'm sure I can fix the prob by soldering a resistor in line. so I tryed a 100 ohm (the only 1s I have) and it was too much and wouldn't flash.

I'm sure people normally use a 10p resistors instead of £15 wide band relays ??

Any body got any ideas ? ebay has loads of resistors at £1 for 10.

Cheers lads, Boo86.
