I'm lucky that I just don't suffer nerves like that so tests and exams are just like any other day for me, but if you do suffer nerves, I think you should use every tool you can find to help you overcome them!

Ummm, in 2 minds about this. Problem with this approach is what happens if you get anxious while riding?
For example, many,many moons ago when learning in the car, driving on main road and a car pulled straight out in front from a side turning without slowing. Had to emergency stop, nearly pushed brake pedal through floor of car, missing other car by inches. Shaken, as was intructor(!), but OK. Now if I was a nervous type, would I have frozen and not done emergency stop? Or would I have not been fit to continue driving afterwards?
Can't really answer the questions, but, if you can't pass the test because of nerves, are your nerves good enough to be able to drive on the road? People will cut you up, slam brakes on in front, pull out without looking.
Nerves lessen with practice, so if its just being watched makes you nervous, bug a friend to mark you doing manoevers round the local supermarket car park.
