Loughborough has a great atmosphere, loads of things to do as a fresher and it's cheap! Engineering is ****- ok so I may have lied a bit (I am a physicist), they have loads of money over in the dark side that is engineering.

You should definately visit your mate to experience the nights out. DMU sounds like they are investing so that is definately a good sign.
