So after sticking over 20k miles on my 03 pointy in the past 4 years and avoiding all sorts of scrapes, drivers (they really are all mad and definitely out to get you. I too have a cage
) I wrote it off last month.
Slowing down with the engine about 35mph and headed for the toll booths on a greasy road after light rain and I assume the back wheel locked. Got into a jolly tankslapper and then I was off and sliding. No major damage to me - but things were a bit scraped and dangly. I managed to ride it slowly back to York after a cuppa in the Humber Bridge offices (great chaps there!).
So I have bought a 2002 Fireblade which Hovis kindly spotted. Went down to Essex, picked it up and started riding it back - straight into an accident on the M25. Not me ..
