After ruuning the bike for plenty hours since i first asked the question, the alarm siren still wont sound, so i emailed datatool, expaining the problems. The tech guy replied today telling me that i would have to replace the lid on the alarm case, as he seemed to think that the siren has failed, and that will sort it. Thing is the alarm looks as though its been really well put in. I thought it would be under the seat, but its kind of tucked away down the left hand rear side. i took the seats off and stilll cant get to it. i think the plastic surround is going to have to come off, but im not sure how.

Any advice please guys both on how to take the surround off, and also to change the lid on the alarm case, is that a simple job?
