No idea... It's not just me, the previous owner had to replace the first one at about 8000 miles and I popped one regular as clockwork after that too. Supposedly low power draw is worst for them, they overheat- so you'd think my heated grips and higher draw lights would help, but seemingly not.

Oh, but to be fair I think one of my replacements was bought used so for all I know it had done 100000 miles before it failed, so probably better leave that one out. The new ones all did between 7000 and 10000 miles.
