sv650[x], 99[v] 12,000 mls. i was going to the ace cafe, but on the m40 towards central london the bike died. thankfully i had the aa sales number and joined, wait for it.....£139. aa turned up pretty quickly, loaded bike up and took me to a services where we were joined by an aa mechanic. bike is fitted with a datatool alarm which did not work now. aa found a chaffed wire on it so opened up loom and bypassed it. battery had 3.7 volts, so he put a power pack on it and it turned over but would not fire. no spark. no reading on meter from crankshaft sensor so it didnt know when to fire. aa man gave up, had to get home. £99 aa upgrade to get you home, £40 because i was over 50 miles from home, 20 miles at £2 per mile. anyway bike dropped of at bikers in north baddersley near romsey hants for investigation on monday. a rather expensive non breakfast ! anyone with any ideas of whats wrong, feel free to chip in.
