Its certainly not straight-as-a-die Autobahn. According to my mate its "superb". Not an adjective I would use to descibe a motorway in many other countries. Certainly fast open A-roads and some mountain sweeping twisties as well.
The Spanish roads, especially the m/ways are the best I have experienced in Europe. Euro grants supposedly. Quiet too.
As I said, I will have a better picture of the return journey on the way down.
My mate is a sensible chap (Honda600F
) and has been up and down the road 4 times, so I may well listen to his reasoning. (He killed a deer with his then GS last time across the plains, his missus was picking hair out one of the panniers for the rest of their holiday.) Something to consider about night riding.
