OP's questions was 'can an SV1K belly pan be modded to fit a SV650' - Yes it can! The cut out on the SV1K can be made to look like that of the SV650 belly pan - no left or right, cut out the exhaust off-set. I actually think that the SV1K belly pan looks way much better than that of the OEM SV650 one. I've modded an SV1K to fit a SV650 myself - not bad really, but lower pipes are visible if brackets are not made to fit properly. HTH.
