I choose to rent and i choose to rent fully furnished. Why? Well as you said if stuff breaks its not my problem and i have a landlord who i call for that to be fixed/replaced.

Also when i do move i dont want to have to be lugging tons of furniture about with me that will in all likelihood not fit into the next place i move to.

So no, not all us renters of furnished places are drifters out to treat other people stuff without respect thanks.
