Get both of you onto vodaphone with a 3G phone, get one of the femtocell dooffers like I have, job jobbed. The femtocell gizmo is now marketed as 'Sure Signal' and you can get them for free on certain contracts

It is ace, with a full 3G signal throughout the house. All my mates who are on Voda are registered to my device and can use their smart phones here where there is no signal in the village at all.
