I have only played FF7 and FF12. FF7 was the best for me. The characters and gameplay was great for me. I did the first disk so many times as people kept deleting my file!!! Grrr.
Managed to get my first disk time down to 3 hours without skipping any fights.
Never managed to complete it though as I went to the finale too eagerly and couldn't defeat the boss.

FF12 was great, the seamless gameplay was a nice addition but the story and characters never really got me.

I am well looking forward to FF13 for the HDness of it.
