I am digusted by the whiplash claim though. If your geniunely hurt then fair enough (as i was) but the "aha it wasnt my fault cash in time" sickens me.

Your instructor drove another of these granite cars then, because the impact wouldn't push you forward even with the handbrake on, of course.
I had a minor tap with a guy, his 4x4 was completely undamaged because his big bumper had dented my front fender. He agreed at the roadside that his car was likely undamaged and so long as his mechanic agreed that would be that.
A few days later his insurer calls and I ended up having to put a claim in. I want to blame the guy but know it was probably his wife who made him put it in!
