Default Re: Good tyre for W Reg GSXR750 - Avon Storms or similar?

If you like storms put storms on it. Just because you have a sports bike, doesnt mean you have to run sticky soft rubber on it. You'll get better life and better cold wet grip out of a sport touring tyre like the Avon Storm. I'm running Metzler Z6's on my GSXR at the moment. Plenty enough grip from them for my style of riding they dont lack far behind the Corsa III's I had on it before TBH.

Pilot Power 2CT and Corsa III's are very good. But they wont give you a long tyre life like the storms will and your GSXR will be harder on tyres than your SV was. I've used both and the Corsa III heats better and gives better feedback but the sharper profile means it turns in faster and is a little twitchier than the Pilot Power 2CT, but the 2CT isnt as good in the wet or cold and can be a bit lacking in rider feedback, but the profile is rounder and its a little slower to turn and more stable. The 2CT I had on the rear of my GSXR was the only tyre that I felt confident enough in to completely remove my rear chicken strips.

Look Dave, I can see you're really upset about this. I honestly think you ought to sit down calmly, take a stress pill, and think things over.
