Default Re: Breaking a bike, is it worth it?

Yeah, sorry. I was being a little brief with exactly what it takes to build a minitwin bike. Here's a great link to exactly what needs doing: http://forums.sv650.org/showthread.php?t=153136
It's a lot of work and as indy says, they'll prob want to do it themselves.
You'd get more cash for it probably if you did break it up, my only point was that it can be a pain in the ar$e and the return is a lot slower. If you just flog it and maybe advertise it as a mintwin project you'll get less but it's a lot less hassle and more immediate.
Looking at the pic, it might be worth doing a half way house - strip off the rear hugger, givi box, lowers and maybe the can if you have the orignal too - sell those and make a tidy £100+, then flog the rest as one.
