I did one at the Ace this summer. Format was:

Classroom session (~90min)
Town ride (~60 min)
Lunch
Classroom session (~30min)
Country ride (~120 min)
Q&A in the classroom.

They will expect you to stay within the speed limit, but ride progressively and don't dawdle behind slow vehicles if there is a _safe_ overtake available. The student who took the lead first was a bit cautious, so when my turn came I got a bit progressive

Mine was a good day out with some interesting information and coppers who liked biking and enjoy their job. Hope you enjoy yours too,
