well, at last the headlight lense is now seperate from the back portion.
Next step to make it road legal, and pass it MOT next year is to sort out the headlight aim, as it currently has a kick upwards to the right, so will blind UK road users.
Pic below shows current metal casting, with kick. note, as its a curved lense everything behind it, has to be the wrong way round effectively.
I need to make it like this:
The black drawn area need to be filled to create a flat beam pattern to gain an mot. the whole unit looks to be cast, so its not a removable insert. If i was to form up the part with something soft like tin, or very thin metal what is a good heat resisting glue once set, Im thinking araldite maybe?
Any ideas on the material used to create the beam pattern welcome, bearing in mind its going to get very hot in there
