I had a friend who had this problem only a couple of weeks ago, on his bike it was the main connector to the headlight loom which is just behind the clocks, must have been some arching going on, the connector was looking rather toasty.... but we wired it in outside the block and all was well. We checked everything before this, even had the switch on the handlebar in peices to see if it was a problem with that, but no lol Id check that connector block if i was you
