Spin a nut on down to the head of the bolt then insert the bolt with copper slip into the cylinderhead until its snug then spin the nut back down the thread until it pins the header in. If you use the right length of bolt intially it'll only spin down a couple of turns so there's no unsightly bolt head pretruding.
I cant really understand the logical merit of doing htis but it seems like a good idea, didnt cost me anything (already had some stainless nuts and bolts knocking about) and for what ever reason I'd suspect it would make future removal pretty easy.

You have the advantages of a stud in that you don't have to turn the threads in the alloy head to apply the clamping load, but you have the disadvantage of a bolt as you still have to remove the entire bolt from the head to remove the exhaust.
Stainless resists corrosion, but has a strong tendency to gall so should be installed with plenty of anti-seize compound. Stainless or plated steel studs and brass nuts might be a best compromise.
