It's a hard one, if you were gauranteed to be able to claim against the women and win then it MAY be worth it.
Otherwise the time it takes and insurance premium increase may not be worth it.
My girlfriend didn't even claim off her insurance, but notified them of the incident, that was 100% not her fault as it was parked up... insurance when up £300.
I traded in my 600rr last year I owned it 3 years from new, crashed it at speed, the clutch lever was scratched, the swingarm scuffed and engine cases both sides scratched a bit. They still offered me really good money.
