The "big" one is every 15k miles where valve clearances need to be checked and adjusted if necessary.
Most popular complaints with the SV are probably reg/rec (whether correctly diagnosed or not...) and suspension. Oh and wet plug syndrome.
Throttle has 2 cables, check what condition they are in, as well as the carb linkage as mentioned.
If you are unsure of the service history and know how to wield a spanner, give it a service yourself. Will be a good chance to familiarise yourself and also spot any other potential issues!

Didn't come with service history, just 1 MOT and TAX, i'm very handy with a spanner intend to service it this weekend.
