My instructor didn't get his knee down when I passed but he did give it a large amount of beans on the way back (he definately broke the national speed limit stretch on the way back). When I got back I did ask him why he sped off, what was he trying to tell me???!!! And his answer was that he wanted me to ride back on my own, that simple really, and that's what effectively happened as I wasn't willing to break all the rules after just passing
I think after being taught all the rules and what you should obey if you then went and followed his example then fool you anyway, you know how to ride sensibly so keep it safe.....especially keeping within your ability
I think the instructor was just trying to make sure you were left to ride back on your own just like mine did, I am sure we all have enough common sense to know what we can and can't handle....right? (most of the time

)
Now go out as much as possible and progressively learn to ride properly....I still have a long way to go and doubt I'll ever push it like some...still working on losing the chicken strips
