hello people
i have had my SV for a few months now, and had assumed the noises were normal. Then a friend of mine also got a 03 sv650 of similar mileage, but his engine is much quieter.
the noises are:
- ticking, present throughout the rev range but loudest at 3k and 5k
- whirring noise, when in first gear (high pich at higher speed), disappears in all other gears
also a gentle scrapping sound from around the rear wheel (rear brake rubbing?)
are these anything to worry about? and what are the causes? and possible fixes?
if it helps its a SV650s K3 (FI restrictor kit, K&N, Fuel exhaust are the only engine mods)
