Cheers mate. I pretty much know all the roads there are to ride around Scotland, originally from Kirkcaldy, and though I grew up as a child and went to University in England, free rent with family and no money bought me running home with my tail between my legs to Fife, and I stayed in Scotland for about 12 years, until moving south again 2 years ago.

I won't go further than Ballahulish, and the Oban route you suggested is basically what I am going to do in reverse. I've never been up the Glen Orchy road though, so I might do that on the way back by turning left after Dalmally.
