Default Gentle bimble out.

I love that word.

Bimble.

It suggests a simple, gentle ride, no effort, no stress.

It's been a sunny day, the lanes were empty and dry (ish)

So off I went, up via Salmesbury to Longridge, then to Slaidburn and Grandpa's bench.

Many of you know it, some have ridden past it, some have crashed near it!

It's a crackin' view towards Ingleton and beyond. I had a quiet half hour chatting with no-one real, putting myself back on track...

Then I meandered off towards Settle and Malham Cove.

Damn that's a good looking bike!

After leaving Malham, I aimed for Settle again via a different route. This is now my favourite road. The views back to the cove and Gordale Scar fill your mirrors and distract from the view ahead. That view itself is expansive and beautiful with escarpments marching across the world in front of you.

After Settle, the roads might have well be closed. There was no traffic, so the ride to Gisburn and then down to Barrowford was... special.

Not up there with Hawk jets over Mount Nebo, but close.

A good day.

I hope you all had a good day aswell.

Pete
