Amount of float with the Look pedal system depends on what colour cleat you use

Black = No Float
Grey = 3% Float
Red = 9%

I think.

I used to use look and switched to Time after getting some twinges in my knee. Much more comfy on the time pedals and they are easier to clip in and out of IMHO.

I cycle with a mate who uses Simano SPD-SL which is their road based pedal and he is happy on them. Comes down to what you like the look of and price...
