So, no filter is good and you should buy adapter and use pure one. Than pure one tells you not to use that one but one made in china which guys says is garbage.
On the end they are all junk
My policy is to not listen to anybody and use only what factory puts on when they sell bike. I have never used anything else, been on my bikes or my cars. More OEM parts you use less likely you will have problems. Not just filters but in general. Unless some OEM part has known defect/problem than I would change it to something proven to be better.
One advice I would give along that article is to stay far away from those reusable washable filters, those are really bad.
