VWP is the devil, spend 30p here and there and the next minute it's £100!!!

The horn should be fine wherever if supported or on some sort of anti vibration mount. Andrew AFAIK any relays are external, the horns simply have a compressor motor with +ve and -ve terminals, mount relay wherever suits.
