Re: Pointy Prices
Very true. When I sold my 06 plate for £1500 people thought I was mad, but the reality is it was high mileage, compared to other 06 plates, and had it been in clean original cosmetic condition it might have been worth 2 grand. But it had gravel rash on the nose cone, a dent in the tank, and a few of the panels were a very slightly different colour red following a cosmetic crash damage repair. The only realistic way to bring it back to clean original cosmetic condition and being worth £2k was a full respray which would have cost £400, and it was in need of a rear tyre and a service. £1500 quid was what it was worth.
