I think you will find the general consensus is to avoid MCE. Yes I have used them and they were absolutely fine. Then again I did not have any claims, gave notice that I wished to terminate the policy at the end of its term and had no mid term changes. In other words their money taking/paperwork issuing for an unmodified bike worked perfectly.

The proof of a pudding is in the eating. For insurance you only know how good they really are when you need to make a claim. My only negativity with MCE was because I read my renewal paperwork and realised they would automatically renew unless told not to and would apply a charge against my debit card that I had originally used. I thought this extremely bad practice and gave notice of termination well in advance to ensure they did not engage in such a dubious practice with my money.
