Bikes are expensive over there, so might well be cheaper crating and taking - look up trademe.co.nz for an idea of prices, its a local ebay/craigslist site they like a lot over there.
Might even make a profit taking your bike over there then selling it.
And as they ride on the same side as we do, theres no mods needed that I am aware of
