Default Re: ZZR1400.....a Blonde Birdseye Review!

The Busa isn't as smooth, and is quite aggressive with the throttle. Its on the snatchy side, whereas the Z, is exceptionally smooth just a little tweet and it sweetly pulls with no nasty snatchiness.

I will point out, that tall people don't fair so well as pillion on the ZZR. We took a trip to Glasgow last year, and I suffered on the journey back. 250 miles is hard work on the knees, as the pegs are not mounted in a pillion friendly way. The seat is ample size, but you do get numb bum, probably from the peg situation as well.

Holding on for grim death.......I learned when I was three months pregnant, that when your other half says hold on (I am used to not holding on ever as a pillion)...you damn well hold on, as 120 in a flash, takes you unaware!!! We use 'love handles' for long journeys now, as with all grabrails, my d1cky shoulders can't take the strain.

You can do a swap with the GTR seat, which is far comfier, apparently a lot of big long touring people do this for the ZZR, as its a straight swap. I should imagine with a top box, and panniers it would be perfect for a pillion passenger to lounge around on, and you wouldn't notice the peg mountings at all.
