Well I fully intend to do 10 days in Europe in September on my Gixxer. As I've learned my lesson from my somewhat lacking luggage system in France I'm just buying a Kreiga US-30 and US-10 now for next week as I'm heading out for 5 days on the bike around England and Wales. As for the longer days question, I find it easier to spend long periods on the Gixxer than the SV, it is certainly much more comfortable to ride at higher speeds than the SV not to mention it feels a lot less frantic.

So I would say yes, you can.
