Say it's a 100amp/h battery. 100amp x 12v = 1200 watts. 1kw/h = 16p on an average tariff? So it costs about 20p maybe to fully charge an empty battery. All very rough maths. Think I've got that maths right.

While you're trickle charging, it is charger dependent. Maybe it trickles at 500mahs. 0.5 x 12 = 6watts (0.12 pence per hour). 3p per day!
