If you are doing mainly trail centres etc and like to test yourself on the jumps and obstacles more - then I would suggest the AM.
If however you are not fussed on doing the jumps etc and will always take the chicken runs to take the fastest line - then I would suggest the XC.
Given that the weight diff is not massive between the two I would say AM......as more versatile. Plus, if you do mess up a drop off etc and don't land it well etc - AM is more likely to take it better. (Well it certainly would for fatties like me!)
