Here's my two pence worth - I've been riding for 20+ years and in 1997 I sprung for a pair of Daytona Roadstar boots. They cost me (at the time) £250 which was a fortune to me...... I finally threw these boots away last year after 15 years of service !
They were completely waterproof throughout their life and felt like slippers
I guess I'm saying it one times pays to spend that little bit more, that said I just bought a pair of Merlin Explorer Boots;
