To me it looks like you have started to get a tiny amount of hooking on the front sprocket. Even a small amount of wear on the sprockets will reduce the life of a new chain.
I was always told that when the chain is replaced the sprockets get done too unless there are exceptional circumstances like a new chain broke. Good luck.
