I don't think it's too bad in terms of costs once you have your qualifications and kit.

It is my understanding that charity jumps generate more cost to the NHS overall than they raise in contributions.
I hate the whole "charity" thing of extreme sports and jollies away and stuff.

Yeah guys! I'm awesome! Pay for me to do something cool and some money might go to a good cause after my bit's paid for!

I make sure people have paid their own way for that sort of thing before I'll help out the charity part.
