Reading between the lines DT you're thinking practically about the benefits of a smaller newer bike for ease of use as age increases and limiting concerns over reliability. If so I think Mark's perspective is spot on. Sure the new CB for example will not be as good for touring as your current Sprint but if it keeps you riding longer with as much real world pleasure it fits the bill.
