Re: Which summer gloves?
I tried loads of pairs of gloves, when I bought mine a couple of years ago. Frank Thomas, Alpinstars, ect. I'm not one for "branding" but I tried a pair from a company i'd never heard of called "Racer". and they were fab. I think the palms were kangaroo skin, which was much "softer" ie flexible, the stitchinginside the fingers didn't annoy me by being in the "wrong place". They also looked the part with that funky carbon fibre window over the knuckle, and had a sort of coveed "vent" to the back of the palm, meaning they "breathe" well, but still have a decent level of protection. Anyone I've showed them to also agrees they are fab, including Alpinstars wearers, and they've not started unstitching despite a reasonable mileage, and have been totally soaked a couple of times without any major issues either.
Only concern is they are pretty "summery" gloves, ie can be a bit chilly in winter. Worth looking out for - mine were about £70 as they were being discounted, but were worth every penny. They also fit really nicely ad the arm/wrist velcro band has a decent range of fit, and there is a further velcro drawstring/belt arrangement at the wrist/hand area ensuring a comfy fit.
I'd never heard of "Racer",no idea if reviews of the kit was good or bad, I bought them on my own merits and love them.
