I can drive and ride* fairly competently, have been for quite a while and have had IAM training. However I recently rode a bicycle for the first time in over a decade and it was a nightmare!

Theoretical training wouldn't have helped. I'm not sure what proportion it would help.

I can't believe there's no real insurance system requirement for road bicycles
