I suspect the skid marks were caused by the tyre piling into the rock wall by the road, but that is entirely speculation. Either way, damage to tyres caused in a crash is hardly a problem for the manufacturer don't you think? I reckon I've had 2000+ miles out of these tyres, I think it's fair I just buy replacements
