I changed both for new ones and it started beautifully at first, then it started to misfire. Could be a sticking float in the carb. Give it a tap with a plastic or wooden (I know-I'm old) screwdriver handle to see if it makes a difference. If the float sticks, the carb over-fuels and the plug gets wet/fails to ignite.
