If you want grip over mileage I can highly recommend Michelin Pilot Power tyres, especially the 2CT. The softest compound of a PR3/PR4 (that is on the shoulders) is what this tyre runs in the centre of the rear tyre. I am on my 2nd set and simply cannot fault them, wet or dry they are phenomenal.
