Earache, and not from the wife.
Ear is blocked up with wax, but rather than a straightforward syringe it out job, I've got to treat it with ear drops for 3 weeks before they syringe it out. The rationale is that it either falls out of its own accord or it softens it so it comes out easier, without damaging the ear drum. Only just past week one, and is aching away
