I've been after a proper smoker BBQ for ages but always been shocked at the price, so, I decided to get my Hipster on and break out the welder!
It's two gas cylinders, free from a friendly local supplier, plus a few odd bits of steel I had lying around from past projects. It's mounted on metal posts into a railway sleeper so it can be put inside over winter. The wall is covered in reclaimed slates and the stone monolith is one I've had for years.

At the moment, I'm smoking beef short-rib, rubbed with a simple salt and herb rub, but a BBQ sauce will be applied in, oh, about four hours after they've had an hour in a beer bath!

I'm also making Moink balls! That's the moo from a cow and the oink from a pig - beef meatballs wrapped in streaky bacon, smoked for an hour.
Thanks to the Grillstock book for the inspiration!

The only shame is that someone has to look after it all afternoon! Volunteers? Oh, that'll be me with some beers then!
