As they are not Iridium they do not have an iridium tip to drop off, I would check with tech again and ask him if he is giving you old info on Gladius plugs - I seem to remember reading somewhere that AL7 had copper alloy plugs for long life at a lower cost than iridium, if I can find it I will add to post.
