As for what I did to me bike.Re-applied me special Moly/Gearbox oil/Chain-Saw oil mix to me chain and cleaned of the spin-off I always get with it from rear wheel.
Getting close to 4,000 miles on the new Chain and Sprocket and still not had to adjust.Used same mix years ago on me old Norton Dominator 500 and got over 30K on the chain and sprockets

The Motul oil I had used was good,this S&A is as good if not better.Gearbox like butter and engine well free revving
